St. Teresa is a welcoming church, making God’s love known through various community activities.
Our annual festival is held each August and offers delicious food and drink, quality crafts, carnival rides, children’s games, games of chance, raffles, cornhole and softball tournaments, Texas Hold’em and much more.
St. Teresa’s Famous Fish Fries are offered a number of times each year and we support Covington’s Ft. Rowdy Festival with a food tent (tenderloins and onion rings) each fall. A Christmas Bazaar and Raffle is also held each year.
Our sports complex was started in 2005 to help foster community activities, and supports youth baseball, softball and soccer. Recreational volleyball occurs in the summer. Additionally, an outdoor shelter is available to the public for renting, along with the sports complex.
Additional community outreach includes participation in the Covington Outreach Association’s charitable activities, including donating school supplies, Christmas presents and supporting the Food Pantry.
Additional parish activities include our annual parish picnic, donut Sundays, Bible Studies, CCD, Youth Ministry, RCIA, Community Life and an annual Easter Egg Hunt with Immaculate Conception Parish at the I.C. parish hall grounds in Bradford.
Men’s and coed softball leagues are held each fall. Congratulations to the 2013 tournament champions - BNSF Logistics (co-ed) and Team Tom Goubeaux (mens). More details on the 2014 league will be coming soon! Contact Stacey Grilliot at 419-560-4234 for more information.
